A Critic's View

“ ... Henry Ciccone's paintings draw inspiration from the artist's two souls, the Italian and the Canadian... One remains fascinated by what light can achieve in his paintings: for light is the fundamental dramatic element that accentuates forms, underlines the juxtaposition of chromatic values, embroiders the details with minute attention... Ciccone's Still Lifes appear to be different. They have something abstract, surreal, and the light seems to be more intense.”
